This recipe was one I had baked way back in June, but for whatever reason, I never got around to posting it on the blog. I think the main reason I hesitated is that although this cupcake is DELICIOUS, the number of steps is a bit tedious. You have to make one part of the cupcake the day before, and you're really making three different mixes just to pull off one cupcake.
All that being said, this cupcake is worth the extra effort for a special occasion (or if you have the time to make it in full, like I did at the time). I absolutely recommend this recipe for a birthday party or as a decadent dessert for an anniversary. But this is definitely not your average cupcake.
