I made this milkshake one day last week when highs hit in the 70s, but of course now we've drifted down to 40-50 degree days. But if you have this recipe now, you can make it whenever summer officially arrives.
This strawberry milkshake recipe is so simple. The trickiest part of the recipe is letting the strawberries macerate, which is a fancy word for "sit in a bowl with sugar to draw out the fruit's natural juices." When you stir sugar and vanilla with strawberries, you draw out more juice so the strawberry flavor comes out even more when you blend everything together.
It is absolutely delicious! And I'm not even that crazy about strawberry milkshakes.
