If you happened to see my post from Feb. 6, you saw these cheater Cheddar Bay Biscuits (made famous by Red Lobster) in the background of my chili macaroni recipe photos. I meant to post this recipe around the same time as the chili macaroni recipe, but time got away from me. I was too excited about other recipes so this one kept getting pushed to the back of the line. But finally, the day is here for the cheddar bay biscuit to shine.
I saw this recipe online, but I had high expectations for how they'd turn out. Shockingly, they taste even BETTER than the restaurant version (yes, seriously!).
The only "bizarre" ingredient that most people wouldn't have on hand is buttermilk. But if you commit to buying buttermilk, you can also make my favorite cookie in the world: Black and white cookies -- As featured on my blog back in December.
This recipe was originally posted on Damn Delicious. In my experience, you can reheat the biscuits up again, but they are much better when tasted on the day they're made.
Drag the recipe card below to your desktop so you can make this sometime soon.
