These cherry turnovers are so simple that they really should be included on a "Maggie Monday" post, but my best friend requested that I make them for the blog, so here we go!
Crescent roll dough + cherry pie filling + icing (which is milk or half and half mixed with powdered sugar) = amazing cherry turnovers!
I loved getting a turnover from Arby's when I was little, but now I'm all about these simple treats instead. I don't always have crescent roll dough lying around, nor cherry pie filling, but they're an easy treat to make if you want something quick to whip up.
Pro-tip: I used a 4-count crescent roll tube (half the size of a regular tube) and I couldn't find any small cans of cherry pie filling. So I was left with a ton of cherry pie filling. Just thought you should know. You'll only need a few spoonfuls of the filling if you're making two turnovers as I did.
I got this recipe off a website years ago, before I ever saved any of my recipes. So I apologize to whoever created this initially!
