This was suggested to me by someone I met in middle school and have been friends with ever since. She and I have made puppy chow many, many times over the years, but I can't believe I hadn't tried any variations on it until now.
Taking delicious puppy chow as I know it and turning it into a lime version scared me at first. But it is a wonderful alternative in case you want something more summer-y, and aren't in the mood for peanut butter. This recipe is super simple but also good to feed multiple people (or one person, depending on how hungry you are!).
Drag the recipe card below to your desktop in case you ever need it! Many thanks to my friend Caitlin for the recipe, and I will definitely make it again.
*Author's note: By using gelatin, this recipe is not 100% vegetarian. I am not a strict vegetarian, but usually avoid stuff like marshmallows, chicken broth/stock, etc. But I do make an exception from time to time.
