Okay, so this recipe is sort of a "cheater" recipe since I got a starter boxed mix from the store. The only reason why I did was because the cookies looked so good... And it was on clearance. :) So I figured it was either now or never.
To make this at home, you could make your own cookie dough (whatever your favorite recipe is) and then add the extra mix-ins to it. For example, the boxed mix already came with chocolate chips, butterscotch chips and instant coffee in the recipe - but I still had to provide the pretzels and potato chips to mix into the rest of the mix.
I will definitely make these again by using my own cookie dough in the future - And honestly, the cookie will probably turn out better. These got really hard really fast, and the cookies almost tasted stale even the night they were baked. So even though it was an intriguing box mix, it was not worth it, even at the clearance price.
But try the recipe on your own and let me know how it turns out! Or if you spot this mix at Target (I've only seen it there, and it may be a store exclusive), pick up a box and let me know if you had better success with it.
