I found a Popsicle kit for less than $10 at a store, and it reminded me of when I was really young. My parents had a set of 4 Popsicle molds when I was growing up (so long ago that I barely remember making Popsicles together), but it is so warm here that I figured I should give Popsicle-making a shot.
I also made a simple syrup with fresh raspberries (something I had never done), and the result was amazing. The rest of the raspberry syrup was used for fresh lemonade (which may or may not make an appearance in a future Tiny Messy Kitchen post...). If you can stir something on the stove, you can make this simple syrup which will bring your Popsicles to the next level.
Since trying this initial recipe, I tried milk-based Popsicles with chocolate chips and a coffee-based Popsicle with leftover coffee. The possibilities seem to be endless!
If you have a Popsicle mold, please suggest some other recipes for me to try with my new molds. I know I want to try more recipes with fruit and juice. Let me know what good combinations are in the comments section!
