Welcome to the first recipe of the 2015 Christmas cookie spectacular! Every week in December, I'll post a new cookie recipe to take to all of your holiday gatherings this season.
I'm starting with the least "Christmas-y" cookie of the bunch, but it can be tweaked to become more Christmas-y. Stick with me.
Cross Sour Patch Kids with sugar cookies, and you've got Sour Patch Kid cut-out cookies. They are sweet and sour and delicious! The secret to the sourness is the topping: In a small bowl, you mix citric acid (which I found in the health section of a grocery store - next to the vitamins) with sugar.
This recipe originally came from Elise at MyCupcakeAddiction (a great YouTube channel, with step-by-step instructions if you need more guidance!).
